The 5 Essential Domains for Living a Healthy Fulfilling Life

See my video about the five domains of living a healthy life—nutrition, sleep, movement, purpose, and love. In day‑to‑day practice, I’m reminded over and over that while medical treatments can help with problems like headaches, fatigue, back pain, anxiety, and many other common concerns, they usually aren’t enough on their own. Medications, procedures, and therapies can be important tools, but they tend to work best when they’re built on a foundation that includes all five of these domains. When one or more are neglected—poor nutrition or sleep, inadequate movement, or a lack of purpose and connection to others—it becomes much harder for patients to make meaningful, lasting progress toward their health goals.
